flimsy cheap and poorly packagedAside from UPS's delivery issues, where they cant figure out why you are not home during normal working hours and their UPS facility is closed all weekend meaning you have to take a day off to get a delivery from UPS.....This was packaged in a cardboard box NO PROTECTION aside from the box. The hinges are extremely loose fitting brass hinges, and because there was zero protection in shipping the top third is fractured across all three panels, this thing sits and slouches because of it.Otherwise it lets the light in while providing privacy though its tall enough to work as i imagined, its too short for my use.Not sure if ill super glue the fractures across all three panels or just toss them once i move, these things are seriously cheap and im not sure they would survive a short trip in a UHAUL truck, more fragile than glass. Its literally balsa wood and paper with hinges connecting that are of the lowest fit tolerances i've seen out of any manufacturing application.....connecting all three panels with chains would be less snug a fit than the hinges they used....but barely.Package this product with some structural cardboard inserts and foam FFS...
2Looks nice, great valueWe already had a similar screen we bought ~25 years ago. I decided I wanted a second one to block the view from the front door into the house. The screen arrived in excellent condition and is perfect for my purposes.I considered buying the stand, but didn't. It stands fine on its own, especially on the hardwood floor. In a high-traffic area, this stand might not last long. It could be knocked over or the paper backing could be ripped. However, it works fine for us and our cats have not done anything to damage it.I may put in a folding door across the doorway, but for now this is an easy inexpensive way to get some privacy.
4Love them great solution for privacyLove them, but be sure to order the Stands. Need both. Partition provides that perfect touch of privacy. Now having said that about this, these aren't the sturdiest things, so don't go leaning on them. The are meant for privacy, not to be leaning posts.
5Does what it should, and looks nice too.Arrived assembled and in perfect condition. Stands on its own just fine without additional floor stands (I have it bent, not fully stretched out). Bought the screen to cover up two doors leading to a rental unit that we don't access, put a couple plants down in front and a white noise machine behind the screen and voila, privacy from renters and the doors are much less noticeable. One of the thin wood frames is slightly warped and not ruler straight, but it's only noticeable to an OCD person like me and does not affect performance. Screen fulfills the purpose j bought it for.
5Room divider extraordinaire!WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! This "used" room divider is better than a "new" one I bought a while back! I have looked this thing over and have had it up, and I can only say it is well worth the money I paid for it. I'm very pleased with its structure and sturdiness and ability to stand without falling over. Of course, I can't expect it's going to stand "by itself" like a concrete wall, because these things aren't built that way. They have to be balanced properly so that the panels are appropriately distributed so as to balance properly.
5Not the sturdiest thing, but it'll get the job done. For the price, it's not bad. It looks good from a distance, though you can see through some tiny cracks due to the design. The ricepaper is opaque and you can't see anything more than a shadow through it. The hinges, however, feel cheap and flimsy. In the second picture, where my hand is, the hinges are able to be jiggled around in place. It will stand in place, but don't place it in any heavy traffic area, as it is also very easy to topple over, and I doubt the construction will let it survive more than a couple of falls.tl;dr: It'll work as a privacy screen, as long as there's not much activity around it.
3LOVE ITI love this. It does exactly what I needed it for. It blocks unwanted eyes from peeking in my front door, and yet it still lets you get some light in without being too bright. The thing I love most is that it completely folds up and I can hide it behind the door or even under the couch. Our cats don t mess with it at all, but it is lightweight so if you have runners beware it may tip, but it s not too heavy. The screen Is like backing fabric and you can t see through it at all. The frame is pretty sturdy and the hinges seem to work just fine.
5Nice useful screen for my purposesThis screen looks nice overall, but it is a bit over-priced in my opinion. I paid $50 total for it and I think it is worth about $30. Ultimately, I am pleased with it because it suits my purposes of covering the opening of a doorless closet. I am fortunate, because it was not damaged during shipping. There is no protection around it in the box it came in. It is very light and it does stand on it's own on carpeting by bending it at the hinges. It will be easily knocked over by children and/or dogs, so please be aware of that--and if it is knocked over for any reason, it will be most likely damaged due to the paper-thin covering between the wood. The delicate paper on my panel is wavy in some places (I tried to capture it in a picture). As other's have said, this is cheaply made, but it is the least expensive panel that I could find and it does look lovely aside from the wavy thin paper. I am glad I bought it, but I think the distribution company needs to use better protection in the packaging because it could easily be damaged in shipment as other reviewers have indicated. Mine did not come with the strong chemical order that other buyers have written about. I do like the cherry wood color and I think it is worth purchasing.
3RECOMMENDThis is a great panel screen. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. The packaging material was very slight, as you can see from the photo, I feel fortunate that there was no damage. This product stands up well on carpet which is good because I purchased it to hide unsightly items in my living room such as the vacuum, broom, mop and dog food. I don't think for the price you could do better. RECOMMEND!!
5Product page is misleadingProduct arrived in a timely manner in good condition. Construction is fine. Main issue is the product page listed the "assembled length" and "assembled height" as 71 inches each--however, it is NOT 71 inches long. I think it's closer to 54 inches. A 71 x 71 installation would have been ideal for my purposes. It's probably not worth the hassle to return it, but I am disappointed in the product listing.
