Replacements worked great I'm a bit disappointed that the original sensors failed, but these replacements were easy to swap out with the originals and work great. It would be great if there were instructions on how to use the little wire clips they sent, as I was not familiar with them. This coming from a guy who has installed many car stereo decks and used a variety of wire splicing tools and connectors over the years. So I imagine it would be worse for someone without such experience. 5Works as intendedExact replacement for my malfunctioning sensor for LD033 garage opener. Works as intended after I replaced the old one. I specially like that it came with a gel crimp, it made the installation super easy. No instructions included, but it should be straight forward if you are only replacing old ones.5Eh. Work better when warmWork well when they work. During the mild winters in memphis these do not like to stay connected with each other which requires the door to be closed in override or have to mess with one sensor or the other to get it to reconnect3I only hate that I waited so longFor the last few years my garage door wouldn't go down any time the sun was shining brightly towards the door, and with a south facing garage door that was fairly often. I'd tried various methods I'd seen online to make it work, from making a sun shade around the sensors, to taking the off and swiping the sides, to cleaning them, etc. and absolutely nothing worked.I'd been led to believe that because switching the sides hadn't worked, there was really nothing to be done about it. The beam was just always going to be swamped out by the light. As a last resort, I went ahead and bought this and told my wife that I'd give up if it didn't work. Well, under 15 minutes after receiving them my garage door works, any time of day or night. My only regret is that I lived with a half-functional garage door for so long.5Great product; 3M wire connectors are exceptional.Worked great and very easy to install. There are no instructions with it but that is nothing a quick google search can't fix. There are also instructions left in other reviews. FYI- out of curiosity I was wondering if replacing only one sensor (only one was dead) would work but you do need the set to work. The 3M wire connectors are the best part. They also appear way more secure and safer than regular wire connectors - during clean up after Harvey flood we noticed other wire connectors were knocked off (dangerous!).5Great Replacement ProductBought these to replace the original sensors on my Linear garage door which went out after 10 years. They were very easy to install and came with all the necessary parts. Only thing I did not like is that no instructions were provided so I had brush up on wire markings to make sure they were connected properly but a quick web search solved that. For someone not familiar with wiring, this could cause a little hassle.5Easy fix for a door that won't go down!EASY fix to my Linear garage door that wouldn't go down without keeping the button pushed in the entire time the door is closing. That was my problem, the beams appeared to be aligned, the green lights were on but the door would always go down for a second then backtrack back up as it there were an obstruction. I never could get the corresponding red light to stay lit. I fiddled with the beams trying to get them to line up but nothing I did worked. Finally I researched some forums and found others with similar problems and replacing the eyes solved the issue. It did.Mine came nicely packaged in bubble wrap with long attached wires and 4 gel-filled wire connectors needed to complete the repair. Simply remove the old beams, trim the existing wire a bit to remove any old wire and then match up red to red and white to white. Use the included wire connectors, push down with pliers to make the connection and release the sealing gel and you're done. Total repair time was 15 minutes and probably saved me $100. I can't believe I put up for with it for as long as I did.5Good equipment...but try troubleshooting prior to purchase.I purchased this item from a third-party seller Open Door Discount Remotes and it arrived earlier than scheduled and in perfect condition. One of the previous beams had a green power-indicator LED that would not light up (and with no power the Red LED was also dark) so I assumed it was a dead safety beam unit. I spliced in the new set from Amazon and had the same issue. It turned out I had a faulty wire behind the drywall so I ran a new low-voltage wire from the door opener to the "failed" safety beam and it worked again. Given what I learned, I would run and splice a new wire to a "dead" unit prior to ordering a replacement set. Hopefully my experience can save someone else time and money. As for me, I now have a spare set of safety beams in the event they die on me and I'm only out about $20 - still much cheaper than a home visit from my local garage door repair shop.5I think what I received is defected and not working ...I am updating my review. Seller contacted me that they can ACCEPT return only if i didn't open the package. So the question is how someone can figure out something is defected unless they use it? I will contact Amazon for full refund on this. Part might be good if it is not defected, so I really don't know more about the part. But I can suggest not buying it from 365 garage door, since they are not any help in case of an issue like this. I think they just copied and pasted a template to answer my concern regarding the part not working right.Old review: I think what I received is defected and not working right. I tried and they work when they are close to each other but when I separate them and place them on door sides they cannot see each other. For some reason sometimes it works and sometimes not. When I set them closer to each other they work perfectly. Might contact seller to maybe replace it.2This is exactly what I needed to fix my problem!I just moved into a new (to me) house and the garage door opener wasn't working properly. After looking up the opener online and reading through their troubleshooting guide, I deduced that I needed to replace the safety sensors in order for the door to operate properly. My problem was that I could only use the door opener (the one that goes in the car) to open the door. In order to close the door, I had to press and hold the button on the wall until the door was completely closed. When I used the clicker in the car to try and close the door, the light on the motor would just blink. I had green lights on both sensors, but could not get a red light to come on- I tried EVERYTHING! I repositioned the sensors, cleaned the lenses of the sensors, checked the wiring... nothing. I bought these to replace the sensors and voila! Problem solved!!These were very easy to install and only took me a matter of 15 minutes from start to finish. It's really nice to be able to use my garage door like I should!5Easy to install, works pefectly for Linear LDO50.Moved into a house 4 years ago with one of the Linear LDO50 garage door opener sensors missing. I was told by the 800 number placed on the unit that there was no way to fix it and that I had to replace the whole garage door opener system. So, I put up with holding the button down to close the garage door and no way to use a remote control. I put up with it until this weekend when I thought to replace the whole system with a Craftsman I bought at the Naval Exchange for $160. Wow, that unit was flimsy and unstable. I had to remove it and put the Linear LDO50 back. That's when it dawned on me to search Amazon (I should have done this four years ago, but I took the word of the "expert"). There was no fuss installing this product -- the only thing that took time was stapling the wires above the garage. Once connected to the unit, this product worked perfectly! No more holding down the main button to close the garage door. What's more: I can enter the garage using a remote! Highly recommended for Linear LDO50.Oh, one thing you should know: the wires connecting this item to the unit was damaged by the previous owner's tenants (the house apparently was used as a frat house). This unit only comes with 24" of wires. If your wiring system is damaged, you will need that, too. I had to drive around town looking for wire that looked exactly like the one attached to this unit, but could not find it. Used a 24 gauge wire bought at Home Depot.5
